Have you ever wanted to get up close to a hot-air balloon? If so, balloon crew volunteers are needed for Carolina BalloonFest, October 16-18 in Statesville, NC! Help is still needed for out of town pilots as well as special shape balloons.
What does the balloon crew do?
This is an important position, as the pilot relies on crew to assist with assembly, inflation and launch of the balloon. The pilot also depends on their crew to chase them while they are flying and to be at the landing spot when they land to help packing up the balloon. Iredell County residents are ideal to help visiting pilots and crew navigate local roads; however anyone able to perform crew duties is welcome, and experience is not necessary to join the fun.
- Sign up for full-weekend chase crew
